Players will receive the achievement That Rabbit's Dynamite! Deals Beast damage and causes the target to Bleed for 98 Beast damage per round for 4 rounds. Starts a stampede, causing Critter damage on the first round, Critter on the second round, and Critter on the third round. I was getting more than a little sick of the drop rate on this so I turned to the AH. Shame on you! Just buy it!
I can't find anywhere that documents those terms. I hate my life. With Patch 6. This means that multiple people can win a pet with each kill also, no more unscrupulous raid leaders becoming loot ninjas. If the body shows to be lootable to you, you've won a Darkmoon Rabbit of your own! The best breed ever! Camp by the cave and dont let your eyes leave the cave. If so you wont get your chance to take 1st hit on it to become your loyal companion! Happy Hunting! In all seriousness though, this little guy can really pack a punch.
EDIT: In reply to the comment below mine, the rabbit is like any other single target loot- the first person or group to pull it will get the wee beastie. I rolled within the group. I have the worst luck when it comes to this pet I either miss spawn, someone ninja's it by dropping group, tags the boss while anyone is unaware and everyone helps them kill it, or my roll sucks.
You do not need a lot of people to kill the boss. I was on my hunter, pet tanked. With my "luck" I thought I would just buy it from AH, but it dropped for me. Good luck to everybody. Not sure if anyone has noticed but when you click on him he actually makes little squeaky noises lol it is adorable. This is probably my luckiest catch when it comes to pets. All werent level 90 and still we did it with 1 try. Guildie got drop and now hes adding it to ah. Reply there, not here.
Comment by wowwowy Got this on my hunter today first time killing the rabbit and I rolled Comment by izaul No other Hunter posting or maybe thought about it. Beast Lore said: Darkmoon Rabbit Level? Comment by hemma Just killed the bunny on Shadowsong at realm time, I saw him at at we did it with 40 people, we all sat at the back of the cave so he didn't reset once, the rabbit did drop and a lucky little hunter got it, it was the first raid I ever set up so I am very happy it went well.
So yeah, CRZ group to your hearts content because you still get a shot at the bunny. The price of the rabbit with increase greatly, so don't try to sell yours just yet or buy one for a cheap price to sell in the near future. Comment by bandeirabsj the server Goldrinn-US buggy he is nobody can beat him or aggro, this immune.
Comment by Finally got this pet after months not consecutively doing it either of gathering groups for it. I rolled a 84 on it, and surprisingly someone else rolled the same. But I got lucky, and won it. I can't count how many times I've lost it, but this time around, luck was in my favor. I must say, getting this pet was a real pain since they implemented CRZ for the island. I had to resort to camping it out, or checking non-crz realms. It took a while, but totally worth the wait!
With this amount, you have a better shot at rolling for pet versus rolling against people. The fight also doesn't take too long, like 10 minutes top with this many people also depends on the DPS. May not matter to some, but being fair with loot i. I've never ran a group ML, I personally hate those types of groups. Persistence pays off! Comment by aryon Binds when equipped.
Comment by I'm on the Llane server, Carnagias. Selling the rabbit in blue form for 80k. Is that reasonable? Comment by bubelito Selling this Stormscale EU. It's used and it is level I want 25K gold for it. Comment by shiverina What's the lowest level that would be able to still hit the rabbit? All my 90s are horde side and when stalking the rabbit, the Ally's faction tag him and win.
Unfortunately, my highest ally toon is a twink I was curious how I could tell if I would be able to hit him, or how I could go about finding out. I guess it's time to commit to making an ally Comment by Briandris To those of you who win this pet and decide to sell it, here's something you may want to consider. Battle Pets have stats like characters do and certain stats are better for certain pets. The breed of a battle pet will not be known until the battle pet is learned from the epic item that drops from the mob.
I've only been lucky enough to see the Darkmoon Rabbit twice since it's introduction and I was not lucky enough to win the pet on either of those occasions.
Checking the auction house often, I keep seeing the epic item listed on the auction house for 50k and higher. Being an avid pet battler myself, I want to know the breed I'm getting before I decide how much gold it's worth to me. It's a very rare pet and yet it sits on the AH for days. My advice would be to learn the pet and cage it to sell. Comment by Froyo In part of being extremely shocked to have actually stumbled upon this furry little bastard, it was the most exciting thing I have ever done in the World of Warcraft, right next to Dragon Soul.
I'm a big fan of the old xpacs. Pandas just don't fit in for me.. It was entirely unexpected; we had just finished defeating Moonfang , as someone in the group happened to just go take a peak at the cave, and there it was in chat.. I said no.. I haven't seen this damn rabbit one time since it first came to Darkmoon Island. Since Darkmoon first came to town; I have wanted every achievement of it. This helps me a ton. I am just speechless. I was then and I still am now.
This is just what I needed. Not for WoW; but something to be cheerful about. I will not be selling it, and I don't think I even want to use it to have it bind to me in case I can't cage it if I want to sell it for k level 25 HA! I'm kidding.
I won't be selling it. I will just keep it as a trophy. Comment by hxcn00b Willing to buy on Magtheridon server.
Please pst me in game if you are willing to sell. Comment by N7Arthur Just got mine, wasn't even expecting it. Killed the rabbit with a group of people, went easily, as long as you have good heals the rabbit is easy to take down, even if you don't have enough DPS to insta-kill it. Comment by skycomare I got one of theese today. So happy. Darkmoon Rabbit is not like a world boss like galleon, or sha Just wanted to confirm that it does not just work to tag him anymore : sorry folks Comment by TheUnartist I can tell you that this fight is soloable by geared Warriors ilvl ish.
Had a group going to get him after I found him spawn, but some warrior named Separoth-Galakrond came in and took him out all by himself Some people just don't like to share. A prot warrior was tanking and I could heal with evangelism as disc it was so easy.
I also didnt see him do his trademark KO bleed either? Comment by Shamirr Terrible change in 6. We thought it's changed to personal first, but nah. Comment by Topojijo Currently in 6. They simply have to tag the rabbit. You will see a lot of ninjas. I don't have any updates on a possible resolution, but last I saw it was being looked into. So if you are fighting the rabbit make sure you are next to the corpse and trying to spam like mad to loot it. Comment by GorbotheDeviant New to 6.
I was able to get in 4 rabbit kills. That's all the data I have, so take it as you will. I'm not sure if "first person to loot" is entirely accurate. I think it is personal loot with a pool of one-two pets. However, I noticed on my kills that I would not get a sparkly corpse after kill. I watched a ranged come up to the corpse, several seconds after it had been killed and loot the rabbit.
So, I don't think first in first serves applies. The second odd phenomena I noticed was the spawn timer of the rabbit. If the rabbit has taken a long time to spawn, and then it is killed, it respawned within 10 minutes. After it was killed the second time, it took a long time to respawn.
Has anyone else noticed this pattern? If you've just killed the rabbit, stick around for 10 minutes and see if it comes back. It could just be luck, I know that, but for it to happen twice seems a little odd. Spawn timer still unexplained :. Comment by Ilaya Now loot from the Darkmoon Rabbit is personal, so it can be dropped for everyone, some group members or nobody.
Comment by Gesika6 Darkmoon Rabbit. Comment by sheldorx Dropped for me yesterday, first time killing the rabbit and wasn't in a group while attacking being healed by a random player.
Comment by Dragonfyr Can confirm that you can still loot the Rabbit even if you've already killed it. I killed it about 40 minutes ago, then again just now Serverhop and the rabbit just dropped for me. Good luck folks :. Comment by frakbt For those of you fretting over other people standing on the corpse preventing your looting it, I have two points: 1.
Everyone can use , which avoids the issue entirely. I just killed him this morning, saw that there was a loot icon on the corpse, and took a chance and did NOT loot him because I already have one. Comment by Wulfger Hi All, as far as I'm aware the only thing that you get from a kill is the achievement.
The drop is not one per-raid as had been noted so many times before as I have witnessed first hand more than one player in the same raid obtaining the rabbit. Now it doesn't matter if the loot is on personal or it is on group loot only if you are lucky enough will it drop for you so you can kill the rabbit constantly cross-realm in hopes to obtain it during the event. If the loot is set to Master-Loot you can control it and make it fair so people roll for the rabbit yet I highly doubt people will allow that as there have been reports of players stealing loot and kicking the raid rather sad really.
So happy hunting and hope you get your very own rabbit otherwise check the AH as people are always willing to sell it. I have killed it 6 times today on a 90 rogue, and have looted 2 Darkmoon Rabbit so far. I use the Premade Groups finder, Custom window to watch for 'rabbit' groups, and have gotten all of my kills today on realms other than my own.
I'm posting this because I see a lot of misinformation in the comments section. The whole 'first person to loot it gets the rabbit' idea is total bunk. I've seen up to 4 Darkmoon Rabbit drop in a single kill In fact, when I got my first Darkmoon Rabbit I was the third person to get it as I had to wait for people to stop crowding the corpse. Comment by byyzeroh Don't know if it was cause I looted first or I was just lucky but out of our full group killing this when the faire opened I was the only person to obtain a rabbit group was personal loot.
From the 3 kills I have had on the rabbit all in raid groups it seems that only 1 drops per kill, either that or we just didn't have good enough luck.
Comment by Zimzane I just soloed the Rabbit. Was in Blood spec as a DK. Took a while, and no loot. I went to see if it was up after the Blightboar concert, and there it was, but after killing it no pet lol. Perhaps it is 57 times a charm. Comment by biggleindahouse cannot loot rabbit at level with legend weapon. Comment by Hojzti As of today, , he no longer spawns upon the opening of the Darkmoon Faire.
Comment by mowyong Darkmoon rabbit is up on Blackrock server. He has been updated to be superior blue instead. He is still blue when he is learned.

Comment by GorbotheDeviant The rabbit now seems to be personal loot and anyone can tag it regardless of faction for a chance at the pet. I was able to get in 4 rabbit kills. That's all the data I have, so take it as you will. I'm not sure if "first person to loot" is entirely accurate.

Spawn timer still unexplained :. Comment by Eido I have consolidated current information about this rabbit after reading the comments from ALL Wowhead pages relating to him.
I could not find any notable information from other sites. As always, please feel free to add anything I may have missed. Any information without links or notes was personally observed by myself.
Warlock cannot summon players to Darkmoon Island. Server reset may despawn him if he is up before that time. He may despawn if not attacked within a period of time. My groups waited up to 10m to attack and he didn't despawn. His respawn time could by anywhere between 6 and 34 hours. This still appears to be the case November He can be tagged by multiple groups. He cannot be kited due to Interdimensional Hop.
I have not seen him use this ability during the current faire November If you die during the encounter, you can run back from the graveyard. More than one person can loot Darkmoon Rabbit from the same kill.
The loot is personal , meaning that your group status solo, party, raid, realm, faction will not affect your chances of loot. If the RNG gods grant you the pet, you must physically loot the corpse to receive the item it is not autolooted. If RNG hates you, you will simply not have the option to loot the corpse. The pet can be bought and sold on the AH.
The pet quality turns blue upon caging. All characters who participated in killing the rabbit will get the achievement: That Rabbit's Dynamite! His corpse seems to disappear rather fast maybe about 1m. Related Pages : That Rabbit's Dynamite! Darkmoon Rabbit - the lootable, BoE item. Darkmoon Rabbit - the battle pet.
Darkmoon Rabbit - summon pet spell. Indalamar's New Holy Hand Grenade - a reference to the movie; this item did not make it to live. Comment by Darthpilsner Just dropped the pet for me on my first try ever. Comment by Albaharmamar Just killed on Ravencrest, but the weirdest thing happened. Guess its spawn rate truly is just random, what luck though. Comment by Sateena I spent several hours camping the Darkmoon Rabbit today. I was logged in the entire time, although I did use the group finder to catch him several times on other realms.
The first spawn on my realm was at approximately AM server time. Next spawn was around PM. These are just estimates sorry! So it appears that the spawn timer may be as short as 4 hr 40 min. Comment by Kipex If you're hoping to get the loot, keep in mind that Darkmoon Faire achievements seem prone to crashing the game.
Granted, your experience may vary, but for me half of all the achievements there have crashed my game at the moment of getting them and this happened just now while killing the rabbit for the first time.
Gotta try to catch him later for the loot possibilities. Comment by rogomatic Is it possible to keep this hard enough to need a raid group to kill? The spawn times are so long and there is only a chance that the rabbit can drop. It is impossible to commit time to camp for this whereas with boss status, there will always be groups that we can join to have a chance at it. Think Timelost Proto - long spawn time but guaranteed drop mount Pandaland world bosses, short spawn time, chance on drop mount.
Comment by Invaerne I just came near his cave and the rabbit respawned. Easy kill with 14 people 1 tank, 1 healer. Me and one priest got the pet first 2 persons who looted the rabbit , my last one from Darkmoon Island :. Comment by Taraezor For those of us who use targeting macros for the convenience of knowing if a rare is up and nearby the Rare Love AddOn over at Curse or WoW Interface does help with this one. The AddOn includes hunter rares as well as pet and mount drop rares.
Basically, it groups a whole ton of macros into one simple macro. For the rabbit, I use it if I am on a ledge above or if I have bothered to walk on water to nearby.
When close enough I press the button and turn back. Saves time having to go right up to the cave entrance. Nobody seems to post in zone chat about the rabbit on my server so it is up to the individual to find it. Comment by multiversekyle Quick note since I don't see this info anywhere but this guy is similar to Moonfang now and can only be looted by max level toons.
Just in case anyone below was about to spend ten minutes killing this guy only to not be able to loot it Didn't drop us a pet :. Comment by TJasper Solo tanked as Brewmaster with a dozen hunters that killed it pretty quick. Don't know if it would've killed me if the fight went on. None of us could loot the Darkmoon Rabbit pet. I thought it was a guaranteed drop? Comment by hjp Seems to be bugged this time around, not up immediately?
Comment by sadistic spawned today on EU like 10 people tag'ed him, i pulled him first was not in a group didint get any loot and so the other 10 people around me maybe cooldown of respawn is reduced and so is drop. Comment by Grammie Ok I get one actual day off a week I sat in one spot in front of the rabbit cave all day fishing - literally all fricken day I was the first to hit him I can honestly say I hit him a ton before anyone else tapped him when outta nowhere this group spawns and grabs the bugger and teleports away leaving the rest of us just sitting there Comment by dasbaum The Rabbit is Personal Loot now.
It's not worth to kill him alone. Do it in a group and hope that more people get the chance to get the loot. Comment by MidnightDemon There seems to be some confusion here. Originally the drop was shared, meaning only the first person to loot it got it crazy mad dash for the corpse.
At least one person who loots it will get it. However, several drops per corpse have been reported. Hopefully this clears it up. As long as you're standing still, the damage you take is minimal at best. He starts out with m health if I remember correctly. Skada states I sustained 1. If you get the luxury of doing this solo, I recommend putting your pet in Ferocity spec.
While your pet holds aggro in Tenacity, he takes a lot of damage, forcing you to revive your pet, which drops aggro from the rabbit and you end up tanking anyway. Since I was solo and was not in a raid group, I did not get the pet speculation. I have one because I bought it from another player, but having two shouldn't make a difference either again, just speculation.
Of the 8. I don't know if that bugged it into not dropping the pet. Good Luck and Happy Hunting Edit: After reading other posts, I've learned that it's personal loot without the guarantee to drop. Comment by Grammie just battled - am server time Comment by morph33x They added new loot in 7. Last DMF it was either rabbit or no loot at all.
Comment by Razielle Since 7. I've noticed that, since this update, no pets tend to drop for raid groups under 10 people. Comment by Galacticus I've killed the Darkmoon Rabbit at least 7 times in the past 3 days. It appears to have a much faster respawn rate about 4 to 5 hours and a low drop chance.
My wife and I killed the Darkmoon Rabbit on Feb 4th with no other players. We were the only people in the party. She got the Darkmoon Rabbit drop. So you don't need to be in a large group.
